At age 54, I just recently lost four of my baby teeth, canines and teeth immediately behind them. Also, no other teeth had ever formed to replace them as the woman you describe in the article. I was able to keep my original baby teeth that long, with no cavities. My dentist explained that it's a mutation that is taking place within humans, since we are not the meat eaters we used to me. Oddly, I am a 25 year vegetarian, but my body was unaware of my life choice as an infant. So, don't think is as uncommon as it once was. Just "the body odd". Interesting reading. Enjoyed the article.
